Deskestra collects no data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifier, and no server of ours anywhere.
Deskestra never sends anything over the network — not once, and not through Apple either. There is nothing to buy in the app, so not even a purchase check happens. It works permanently offline, and nothing about how you use it is ever transmitted.
One feature uses your microphone: the Tuner, which has to hear the note you are playing in order to measure its pitch.
Deskestra remembers your own settings — the selected instrument, chosen voices, volume, theme, octave, tempo, and tuner reference pitch. These live in the app's normal macOS preferences on your own machine. They are not personal data, and they are not sent anywhere.
There are none. Every instrument is included, there is no in-app purchase and no subscription, and the app contains no payment code of any kind.
Deskestra is suitable for any age. Because it collects nothing, there is nothing about a child — or anyone else — for it to collect.
If a future version of Deskestra ever needed to collect anything, this page would be updated before that version shipped, and the change would be described plainly here rather than buried.
