Hoop Hoop

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 August 2026

Hoop Hoop collects no data whatsoever. Not anonymised data, not aggregated data, not "diagnostics". There is no account to create, no analytics library, no crash reporter, no advertising identifier and no tracking of any kind.

What the app stores

Your score, your best score, and your settings — volume, mute, theme, always on top, open at login, ball trail — are saved in your Mac's own preferences, on your Mac. They are readable only by you and by the app, they are never transmitted anywhere, and deleting the app removes them.

Network

Hoop Hoop contains no networking code. It opens no connections, makes no requests, and would work identically on a Mac that has never been online. Every sound it plays is generated inside the app at launch, so there is nothing to download either.

Permissions

The app requests no permissions at all. It has no access to your microphone, camera, contacts, calendar, photos, location or files. It does not read the contents of your screen; it only draws on top of it.

Purchases

Hoop Hoop is sold through the Mac App Store, and the purchase is handled entirely by Apple. Apple never shares your payment details with us, and the app itself neither sees nor stores anything about the transaction. Apple's own privacy policy covers that part.

Children

Hoop Hoop is safe for all ages: because it collects nothing and connects to nothing, there is no personal information for anyone of any age to expose.

Changes

If this ever stops being true — if a future version needs a network connection for anything — this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be dated here.
